Accessibility

In order to provide quality service open to all users without exception, the website inpiemonteintorino has been developed paying special attention to the issue of the information’s accessibility to users with disabilities.

In this respect, there have been applied the control points for the Technical Verification defined by the Law No. 4 of 9 January 2004 “Provisions to promote access to information technology by disabled people”, known as the Stanca Law. As stated by this law, the guidelines adopted are those prepared by the WAI (Web Accessibility Initiative), a body of the W3C (World Wide Web Consortium) which deals with accessibility issues.

From a technical point of view, the pages are implemented by using HTML 5 along with CSS-level 3 (style sheets with CSS media query): these technologies enable the separation of content and layout of the document, allowing more effective use of the pages whatever the technological device used and in the most flexible way for the various devices.  By disabling the style sheets, the text version of the page is displayed.
